PP/EVOH/PP,PP/EVOH/PE or PS/EVOH/PS is the high- barrier multilayers plastic material developed for retorted foods, such as baby food, tuna, fish , fruits and vegetables, soups, sauces, beverages and pet foods specifically.
The packaging is in a very convenient format offering long shelf-life at room temperatures, microwaveable and easy consumptions.
High-barrier containers can withstand temperatures within the range of -40c to + 125c and is resistant to water, salt and acid solutions.
High-barrier PP is ideal for products requiring extended shelf life as it mainly minimizes the transfer of oxygen - by using EVOH as the chosen barrier material. EVOH also protects food from outside odors therefore retaining flavor.
